Rut-Roh! Wonder If Bob Griggs Will Have The Balls To Report On This Investigation!

Wednesday, June 23, 2004

Apparently, this is illegal in Gwinnett, even if you own the land. (Note the FREE advertising we are giving the Sobh dealership...)

Mmmm...sexy trucks! We picture a hot brunette driving them...

Somebody needs to cut this grass...that should be an ordinance, not parking on the grass.
Rumors have it that Gwinnett County District Attorney Danny Porter is investigating Gwinnett County Commissioner Marcia Neaton for attempting to fix tickets written against auto dealership owner Lou Sobh.

Gwinnett County has an ordinance that prohibits anyone from parking on the grass, whether it is their property or not (sounds like the folks in Pleasantville to us).

The rumor is that the Sobh dealership received a citation from the code enforcement officials when he had Hummers parked on the grass of his dealership as a promotion. That ticket cost him $100.

He has since been ticketed again for having other cars parked on the grass and this one supposedly will cost him $400.

Neaton became involved in these events when, apparently, Sobh asked her to intervene as a commissioner to try and influence the code enforcement officials. She was successful in postponing the hearing on the first ticket several times, but Sobh ended-up paying that fine anyway.

On the second citation, Neaton is rumored to have attempted to get code enforcement officials to sign a "nolle prosecui", which is a statement that drops the code violation/ticket. Thus, Neaton attempted to "fix the ticket."

Danny Porter's office is rumored to be investigating if Neaton violated any state law in her attempts to influence those code enforcement police officers. If so, there will be a huge black cloud that floats over her head for her race to become Gwinnett's next county commission chair.

PV Whistles: Whut about Bob? Whut is Bob Griggs, Neaton's former hubby and consistent whiner about all of the other commission candidates that he is not supporting, going to say about Marcia, whom he DOES support?

Several months ago, Griggs accused District 3 Commissioner John Dunn of violating state law, and that turned-out to be NOT TRUE, as admitted by DA Danny Porter.

Will Bob have the balls to print the truth about Marcia now? Don't hold your breath (unless you're named Mark Rountree, who is Neaton's political consultant on her bid to become county commission chairman)...
