Rumors have it that Dimocrat Mike Snow is expecting a financial boost from Republican Governor-Elect Sonny Perdue. Snow apparently didn't get the memo that Perdue switched parties in 1998.

Snow faces a new election on January 7 against Republican Jay Neal for House District #1. The election that Neal won on November 5 has now been thrown out by a judge and a new election set for January 7, 2003.

Neal won by fewer than 200 votes. Snow sued to have the results thrown-out, arguing that a precinct that was supposed to be split (as so ordered by the redrawn Dimocrat maps in 2001) wasn't split properly and voters who were supposed to vote in HD #1 voted in another house district.

Chief Superior Court Judge Coy Temples ruled last Wednesday that because a significant number of voters were not allowed to vote in the proper house district, the election results of November 5 are overturned and he issued an order for a new election to be held Tuesday, January 7.

Snow was quoted in a newspaper as saying "I expect to get a substantial contribution from Sonny Perdue for my race."

PV Provides Just A Bit of Background: This whole scenario was predicted and the Secretary of State's office was informed of this type of problem long before November 5, and they chose to ignore the message. They ignored the message because it was delivered by a Republican in a non-partisan way, in a non-controversial style.

In fact, for either a review or a "first-time I ever heard of this" case, we invite you to checkout a reprint of our story from October by clicking here. You do need to at least read the PDF file of Davis' remarks to the Secretary of State back on June 6 because it sets this whole scenario up as the Dimocrat sham job that it is.

According to the testimony offered by Linda Meggars of the Georgia Reapportionment Office last week, Mike Snow had made a specific inquiry into this problem of the non-split precinct prior to the primary. In fact, he knew the precinct wasn't split, and being the good, dishonest politician he is, he sat on the information to see what would happen, rather than do his duty and inform his county's Election Superintendent about the problem when it could have been addressed in a timely manner. (Gee, had Snow won, do you think he would have brought this fact up?)

PV Wonders, Did Beazley Commit Perjury? Now, to us, what was even more interesting was the testimony by Linda Beazley of the Secretary of State's Office. Beazley was there to answer questions about the voter file in a non-partisan fashion (she is, after all, an employee of the SOS's office, and not a "partisan" animal......ahahahaha..just kidding, Folks. We don't believe that anymore than you do).

Under questioning by Anne Lewis, the GOP's attorney, about the subject of the "geo-coding" of the voter file, Beazley indicated that she was not familiar with the term.

When Mark Davis took the stand a little while later to testify about the voter problems and produced a copy of a memo (click here) that Beazley had sent out to all of the county election superintendents where she had ATTACHED Davis' 3-page copy of his remarks to the State Elections Board meeting on June 6, Beazley's face reportedly hit the floor with her jaw dropping first.

See, Beazley had been present at the State Elections Board meeting back in June 2002, and she had been included in several e-mail exchanges after that between Davis and SOS Cox when Davis kept pointing out the problems in the voter file and how geo-coding should be used to help identify some of the problems. Beazley either didn't recognize Mark Davis in the audience (Davis had developed a goatee since Beazley had last seen him) or thought she could just shrug off the question by Lewis and play dumb for her Dimocrat handlers. Unfortunately, that memo she sent out was there in black-and-white.

PV Redirects GOP Activists Despite Sonny Perdue winning Walker County by 60%, Snow's friends at the Secretary of State's office are throwing their weight and help in getting involved in "fixing" this issue they ignored for so long. Neal can win but he needs our grassroots activists to turnout and help him in the ground war.

The day after Christmas (Dec. 26), the Neal campaign is hitting the ground running. They need people for Yard Signs, Phone Banks, and Door-to-Door. Jay has no time for a fundraiser but money is still needed and can be sent to:

Committee to Elect Jay Neal
813 Windy Trail
LaFayette, GA 30728

If you or anyone you know can help, please call Denise Clopton at (706) 638-5872 as soon as possible.

The fact is, these maps were all passed and approved by the Dim legislators. It's funny how they are the ones who are taking the maps to court to have elections thrown out. There's nothing quite like a good political thrashing to inflict upon someone who deserves it, and Mike Snow is one of the more corrupt Dims that should be as soundly beaten on January 7 as Roy Barnes was on November 5.
