Jim Comey and his buds were never “loyal conservatives.” When I served as USA in the Southern District of Georgia, Comey bragged about his cozy relationship with Sen. Schumer who made his confirmation as USA in NY and as Deputy AG easy. Comey looked for ways to undercut and embarrass the White House. He was upset that Gonzalez was appointed Ashcroft’s replacement as AG. Comey was a trojan horse unwittingly placed at DOJ.

What about Jack Goldsmith? Another trojan horse conservative?

Today's Deep Thought

I think a good novel would be where a bunch of men on a ship are looking for a whale. They look and look, but you know what? They never find him. And you know why they never find him? It doesn't say. The book leaves it up to you, the reader, to decide. Then, at the very end, there's a page that you can lick and it tastes like Kool-Aid.
