Nothing Like Helping Out A Pro-Abortion Candidate, Eh, Linda?

Wednesday, February 04, 2004

Rumors have it that the turnaround in Senator Eric Johnson's attitude towards helping Mayor Shirley Franklin and the City of Atlanta's sewer repair problem was effected by our old, trustworthy friend (j/k) Linda Hamrick.

PV Provides A Refresher: Most of you folks remember good ole' Linda Hamrick, don't you? The Linda Hamrick who worked as Vice-President of the Georgia Christian Coalition. The Linda Hamrick who worked as Executive Director of the State GOP under former chairman Chuck Clay. The Linda Hamrick who worked feverently for Cecil Staton in his ill-run race against Phil Gingrey in 2002. The Linda Hamrick who worked for Bob "Yosemite Sam" Barr in 2002 against John Linder (and she claimed Linder was a liberal). And, worked as consultant for Mitch Skandalakis in 1998. And, Senator Tommie Williams. And, a slew of other Republican candidates.

Oh, and last but not least, she worked for Ralph Reed from 1997 through 2003 (and, may still be to this day for all we know...she and Ralph are such undependable people when it comes to the truth).

Finally, the Linda Hamrick who always told us (and everybody else) that she would only ever work for pro-life candidates.

Anyway, THAT Linda Hamrick. Everyone caught-up in their review?

PV Brings Folks Back To The Present: So, for those of you who read Senator Johnson's slam-letter back to Shirley Franklin in one of the December Political Vines after Shirley cried and wrung her hands and accused the Governor and the Legislature that they owed Atlanta the help it needed, and then wondered what turned Johnson around during the first days of this Session?

Well, it happened to be Linda Hamrick. See, Johnson and Hamrick had been good pals ever since her first term as ED of the State GOP. And, Linda Hamrick just happened to be the hired lobbyist for the City of Atlanta (i.e., Mayor Shirley Franklin).

So, as the story behind the scenes is revealed in AJC reporter Ty Tagami's article in today's Metro Section, it was Hamrick who used her Republican credentials to help the corrupt-ridden, maggot-infested Atlanta City Hall secure financial help for it's sewer overhaul.

At the PV, we just find this absolutely fascinating. Linda Hamrick, for a mere $252,000 will sell her Christian conservative credentials to help Shirley Franklin (who would be no truer an example of a pro-abortion candidate if there ever was one) succeed in her admininstration, and very likely be reelected because of her success.

PV Has A Reailty Check: Actually, we don't find this fascinating at all. We have come to expect it from the likes of people like Hamrick and Ralph Reed, and all these other so-called "Christian Coalition leaders" because they have ALL used their Christian credentials to profit, in big ways, on activities that define them as Class-A hypocrites.

Note that, we do not begrudge these folks for making a pile of money. We wish we had the ability (and lack of conscience) to continually lie to people all the time while making a pile of cash by doing the exact opposite of what we preach to other people.

These people, like Reed and Hamrick and, dare we say, a multitude of other holier-than-thou Republicans (note that, in general, we can expect hypocrisy from Demmies so we don't waste time singling them out for their hypocrisies) continue to use their religion to promulgate their agenda, then repeatedly prove that they are flat-out hypocrites when it comes to their true actions.

Just where does shame exist in America? Certainly not where people continue to hold-up such serial-hypocrites as these folks as "leaders." But, hey, just keep on accusing us truth-peddlers as "anti-people of faith" while you all boast to people in your church and political meetings about how much integrity you have; G-d will know the truth. (Or, do you hypocrites not believe in Him?)
