Is John Kerry A Cheater-Cheater, Pumpkin-Eater?

Sunday, October 03, 2004

Rumors have it that in last Thursday night's debate John Kerry violated the rules of the Memorandum of Understanding. This memorandum was the codified ground rules agreed to by the two campaigns.

According to the rules, the two combatants were prohibited from carrying anything to their podiums. "No props, notes, charts, diagrams, or other writings or other tangible things may be brought into the debate by either candidate..."

Yet, in a review of the opening video, Kerry is seen sneaking a hand into his coat pocket and withdrawing something just prior to getting behind the podium. Wonder what that was...?

However, a New York Post article later confirmed that it was a black pen he pulled-out to use. Perhaps Kerry didn't want to rely on any cheapo pen and had to use his trusty, French-made Waterman pen.

Still, cheating is cheating. Hang Kerry by the nearest yardarm! Arrgghhhhhh, me matey!!!
