Bobby Kahn Steps In It...

Saturday, June 18, 2005

Dear PV,

It strikes me as unwise that Bobby Kahn would declare Sonny Perdue the least ethical governor in Georgia history for failing to comply with an interpretation of a law that didn't even exist until he agreed that he broke it when there are Governors who supported slavery, who were rabid segregationists, who were anti-Semites, who tacitly approved of lynching Blacks and Jews, and who proudly refused to allow African-Americans their Constitutional right to vote.

Is he saying that failure to comply perfectly with reporting rules makes one less ethical than a rabid anti-Semite or someone who blocks African-Americans from voting? Seems like he has a pretty warped sense of what makes somebody ethical.

Especially since his former Majority Leader is about to go to prison for crimes committed against the public trust while in office.

Best regards,

William Henry Letterman
