A Positive Showing of Republican Strength...

Rumors have it that there is a little sea change coming in the leadership of the State Senate. Last Friday, we informed you that three former Dems switched to the GOP, giving us a 29-27 majority in the senate. This means that our state's Dem Lt. Governor, Mark Taylor, may soon be rendered politically impotent.

The sea change coming is that current Minority Leader Eric Johnson will be moved-up to President Pro Tem and takeover the agenda and committee assignments from Taylor. Current Whip Tom Price will move-up to Majority Leader and Bill Stephens will beome a Floor Leader.

PV Endorses This Development: All in all, a fine projection of leadership change in the state senate, and one we feel the State of Georgia will accept as positive.
