Marcia, Marcia, Marcia & Bob-Bob-Bob Are Pants-On-Fire Liars...
Two weeks ago, we issued a Special Alert on Gwinnett County Commissioner Marcia Neaton.
In that Alert, we stated that Neaton was under investigation by Gwinnett DA Danny Porter for "ticket-fixing" in the case of the Lou Sobh dealership getting ticked for violating Gwinnett County's parking ordinance.
After we issued that report, Neaton's erstwhile nutcase of an ex- husband, Bob Griggs, issued a statement on his Website stating that the PV had "lied" about the incident.
In actuality, there is proof of the investigation through a letter issued by Danny Porter himself. That letter is posted to the right.
Now, the letter states that Porter found no "criminal violations" in the actions of Neaton's attempts at fixing a $100 parking ticket, but that she could have violated ethical rules of the Code of Conduct for elected officials.
In fact, unlike Bob Griggs, reporter Camie Young of the Gwinnett Daily Post wrote that Neaton will now face a grand jury investigation into her actions of interfering with law enforcement of Gwinnett County parking ordinances.
According to Young's article, Porter "...found Neaton asked county code compliance officers to drop a case against Lou Sobh’s Duluth Hummer dealership, which had illegally parked vehicles in the grass. The officers said no and Neaton dropped the issue, Porter said."
Therefore, Bob Griggs is, at absolute minimum, an IDIOT for stating that Neaton did no such thing, and Marcia Neaton is likely just too stupid to hold elected office in Gwinnett. Anyone that would use their government position to try and influence a law-enforcement process, especially where the defendant is so clearly in violation of the ordinance, should not be allowed to continue to hold office.
And, here's the latest: Neaton has failed to file her campaign disclosure, even after the grace period. Who wants to bet that there are significant campaign contributions from Lou Sobh's interests on that disclosure? If Neaton is actually honest enough to disclose those contributions, that might put Neaton squarely back into the sights of the DA for accepting a bribe (in the form of campaign contributions) for trying to use her position to fix a $100 parking ticket...oooh...
Lorraine Green: Homeowner Advocate...Or, The Developers' Darling?
Rumors have it that in the 2.5 years that Lorraine Green sat on the Gwinnett Planning Commission (as, Marcia Neaton's appointee), she voted in favor of:
- Approving over 2,200 NEW HOMES in Commission District 1. How many kids is that in the school? How about new cars on the street, clogging intersections and causing people to take an hour to travel seven miles to their kids' karate class? Well over 1,000 of these new homes were high-density "town homes".
- Approving over 400,000 square feet of commercial development in Commission District 1, much of this in the form of "cheap strip centers" as she likes to call them.
In her 2.5 years of service on the Planning Commission, she has violated the Gwinnett County Land Use Plan over 20 times!
If you scroll your view up this Web page, you will see a downloadable document titled "Lorraine Green Lies.pdf." This is a copy of all of the rezonings that Lorraine Green has voted on and the record of when she voted to overrule her staff and when she voted to violate the Land Use Plan.
This is the person, by the way, who has been endorsed by The Sierra Club, the International Brotherhood of Police, and, that bastion of liberal thought in Atlanta, the glorious newspaper known as the AJC, which is affectionally called The Atlanta Urinal and Constipation.
Yeah. Lorraine Green has been endorsed by nothing but left-wing organizations, and she is painting herself as a "conservative." Wonder what she said to them in those interviews to cause these left-wing organizations to endorse her? Hmmmmm...
This is the person, by the way, who swears that she will stop all development, but yet, 85% of her contributions are FROM developers and their developer friends (i.e., closing attorneys, highway contractors, etc.). You think she's going to tell Jim Braden he can't build anymore of his pack-'em-in housing projects? You think she's going to tell Wayne Mason that she's going to vote against the rezoning of a parcel of land Wayne needs to sell a new buyer so he can pocket a few more zillion dollars? Puh-leeze.
