I may be naive, but I must question why a Special Election was necessary. Even though people stated they voted in the wrong precincts, this is no reason to call foul and call a special election.
It is the voters' responsibility to know if they are voting in the appropriate precinct. It is also the responsibility of the people working the polls to see that people are sent to vote in the proper precincts.
The gerrymandering that took place by the Democrats was not unique to that area. The cost of this special election should be sent to Governor Barnes and/or to the Democrat Party. I do not feel my taxes should pay for the Democrat political fiasco of gerrymandering voting districts.
Thank you for the [Special Alert e-mail on the results of the election]. I kept looking for the returns of this election and could not find them until I received your e-mail!
