Re: The Vine Delivers Where FOX News Cannot...

I read your column on the Internet being a new way to learn and understand the politics of America. I can readily attest to the fact that without the Internet (as I am dual citizen, Canada and America), I would have little real facts about what is happening all over the world.

When I began watching news broadcasts with the idea of learning more about America, I was in a short time disgusted at the liberal bias that is so apparent on the three largest networks. I found it hard to believe that such outright bias was accepted, or perhaps not seen by the American people.

I was to learn the people of America were habituated to seeing the bias and ignoring it or agreed with the liberal slant. I decided to watch CNN although they are biased as well in most of their programs but their actual news broadcasts were not as bad as the big three. I do not get FOX NEWS, and certainly wish I did.

So, I began reading on the Internet, trying to be fair as I read columns from the right and from the left. After one entire year of reading (I know many many columnists now!), I came to the conclusion that I would, if I lived in America, work for and vote for the Conservatives.

I have come to admire President Bush, his family and his administration. I believe "what you see is what you get" with Bush: honesty, determination, and a true caring about his country and the people who live there.

David Frum said he was "tart" and I should hope so, as nothing he has to deal with at the present time is or could be seen as something to joke about.

I do wish the world was not in such chaos at this time, but hopefully given time, work, and determination, peace will be achieved in the coming years. The war on terror is going to be a war that will have to be fought for many years as President Bush has honestly said time and again.

Thanks for your great column, and I agree with being very careful about what becomes of it. It is very powerful and people will have to learn to be discerning about what they read on it.
