#1) Rumors have it that Speaker of The House Dennis Hastert will call it quits in 2006. Hastert has expressed the fact that his job is exhausting and he is looking for opportunities that provide some longer R&R time...
PV Wonders: Does this mean that Dick...ummm, Tom Delay will be next in-line?
#2) Rumors have it that the reason why the Georgia Bush kick-off campaign was on the light attendance side last Saturday was due, not to complacency among Georgia Bushies, but more due to the fact that Bush's brilliant southeastern director, Ralph Reed, didn't realize that last Saturday was a college football game day. UGA fans were busy tailgating and Tech fans were busy watching the Ramblin' Wreck Parade. Put a "duhhhh!" down on Reed's scorecard for bad timing.
#3) Rumors have it that the Flaggers have now decided to elevate their psychosis to a new level: now they are blaming President Bush for taking their KKK flag off the State Capitol building and have made this new sign to plant all over Georgia.
PV Sez: Thank you!...Thank you!...Thank you! Thank you, Flaggers, for demonstrating that you are NOT "Republican" (now or ever), and were merely Dimocrats masking yourselves as Republicans for the past 2 years.
Of course the real curious question will be, what happens to those Republican candidates who are currently supported by the Flaggers? If they're supported by the Flaggers, then, by default, that likely means they support anything the Flaggers do...including planting these ridiculous "Bush Lied About Our Flag" signs.
Our guess is that any self-proclaimed GOP candidate who is currently supported by the Flaggers will soon find themselves in quite the uncomfortable position. Do they dare open their mouths and support President Bush, or do they cower because they fear the Flaggers will swarm over them like locusts if they express support for Bush? Woe to the GOP candidates who sit silently by while their presidential candidate gets berated by their own supporters. They just might be burning their primary candidacy at both ends...
