Political Analyst Charles Bullock Reviews Election '04

Atlanta - Across Georgia and the nation, the elections are over. All over, that is, but the screaming. And the litigation. And the allegations. And the analysis.

Who better to answer all the questions on "Election 2004: What Happened and Why?" than Dr. Charles S. Bullock, III, Georgia's pre-eminent political expert who has written the book - in fact, 17 books - on politics in Georgia. Dr. Bullock, whose accomplishments include serving as Politics section editor for The New Georgia Encyclopedia, will be sharing his views at a Georgia Public Policy Foundation Policy Briefing Luncheon at noon on Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2004, at the Commerce Club.

An award-winning researcher, Dr. Bullock holds the prestigious Richard B. Russell Chair in Political Science at the University of Georgia. He is author, co-author or co-editor of 17 books and more than 150 articles published in major political science, public administration and education journals. He has served as consultant to the attorney general's office in six states and to more than 70 states and local governments, and has been involved in statewide redistricting litigation in a dozen states.

Dr. Bullock serves on the editorial boards of the Social Science Quarterly, The American Review of Politics, The Georgia Review, The Election Law Journal and Politics and Policy. He is also a past president of the Southern Political Science Association and the Georgia Political Science Association and a past chair of the Legislative Studies Group. He has served on the Executive Council of the American Political Science Association.

This Policy Briefing Luncheon highlights the ongoing commitment by the Foundation to provide a forum for discussion and debate on the issues that matter to Georgians. The luncheon is scheduled for noon Tuesday at the Commerce Club (Directions available here).

The cost is $25 for members and guests; $30 for non-members. To reserve a seat, please send an e-mail to Reservations@gppf.org or call 404-256-4050 or 800-423-8867.
