Why does government need to pay for lobbying? Isn't this a waste of the taxpayer's money??

Department heads present their budgets to the legislators, and they continue to lobby to keep their "fat" in the budget. Mayors, city councils, county commissions, etc. should meet with their legislators long before the General Assembly goes into action, but please don't ask for stupid projects that need monies. It is time for the elected to have specifics on what taxpayers monies should be spent on.

Government lobbyists paid by the taxpayers, let us end it.
