Sonny Sez “Sleaze Is Fine for the Soccer Moms and Me”…

by PV

Rumors have it that a 30-second reelection campaign commercial for Governor Sonny Perdue played during last night’s episode (May 7) of Desperate Housewives and cost on the order of $30,000 for the cherished spot.

Last night’s episode reportedly contained gay sex acts/references…hardly the type of “family values” entertainment that is blared-out of campaign speeches and press releases from any self-proclaimed “pro-family conservative” in today’s campaign arena.

Did someone make an “Oops!” commercial “buy” for this particular show? Or, is it part of the strategery (sic 😉 ) for conservative Republicans who wish to bash the Bible over other people’s heads to insert themselves in a What’s Waldo Doing Here fashion into whatever media source they can possibly find to get their message heard? Hmmm…

Now Bill attacks straight people who are reaching out to gays just because he happens to be the Governor.

  3. Bill Simon Says:

No, I attack people who say one thing and do the exact opposite. If it weren’t for these folks being involved in politics (people like Perdue, Tom Price, etc.), they would be called “schizophrenic.”

  4. Spacey G Says:

Gays can be very conservative. Go figure.

Hope to see all of you progressive blogger types at the Kos book signing at Manuel’s tonight at 7:30pm.

  5. Buzz Says:

Now we know where Bill is on Sunday nights between 9 and 10 pm. 🙂

  6. Buzz Says:

    Spacey,

Please give my regards to Kos. I can’t be at Manuel’s and get home in time for Idol.

  7. Marcia Boone (HS Teacher) Says:

I don’t have TV, but from the way I hear it, a lot of conservative people watch some “wild” TV. How do I know? Their children talk about it at school.

  8. Michael Cross Says:

It does seem to make sense to advertise where voters will encounter the message.

Today's Deep Thought

One afternoon, when I was about ten, I decided to walk over to the 'wrong side of the tracks.' At first I was a little scared. But then I noticed that the yards were nice, and so were the houses. In fact, most of the houses were better than those on our side of the tracks. A lot better.
