Alert The Media! (Oh, wait…we are the media!)

Rumors have it that a Fulton County Superior Court judge has issued an opinion that overturns the gay marriage amendment ban voted-on by the State of Georgia in November of 2004.
Details are sketchy right now, but one thing we’ve been told is that the judge, Constance Russell, was an appointee of Governor Zell Miller. (Oooooh….wonder what Ziggy will say about THAT judge’s decision now?)
We will predict that the following people/entities will have these reactions to this decision:
Sadie Fields of the Georgia Christian Coalition will denounce the decision, and state “We must get rid of these activist judges by any means necessary! They are ruining my plans to make this state a total theocracy!”
Governor Sonny Perdue will hastily place a phone call to President George Bush and request that some of those National Guard troops who were going to the USA-Mexican border to stop illegals from crossing be diverted to come to Georgia to stop the sudden rush to the altar of gay people who want to get married.
President Bush will agree with Governor Perdue and tap soon-to-be-defeated US Senator Rick Santorum (R-Pennsylvania) to lead the forces into Georgia.
FOX News Commentator/President-Bush-Bootlicker Sean Hannity will spend tonight’s ENTIRE hour screaming about the aforementioned “activist judge” daring to use the Rule of Law in overturning the constitutional amendment. Too bad the entire staff of the Political Vine will be busy watching the two-hour season finale of Boston Legal to care what Hannity says about anything…(ever, actually).
Former State Senator Mike Crotts (now candidate against incumbent State Senator John Douglas), who, despite claiming that HE was the one who dreamed-up the anti-gay marriage amendment and carried the legislation forward, he still got his ass handed to him in the 2004 primary by both Dylan Glenn and Lynn Westmoreland, will now have a soapbox from which to spew-out his enraged rhetoric that HE is the most anti-gay person in the district and that John Douglas wears control-top pantyhose under his suits…
Bill Stephens will claim that HE was the guy who REALLY proposed the amendment and HE is the most anti-gay guy in the whole entire state, and that he carries a baseball bat in his leased vehicle (wonder if his monthly payments for a vehicle have been rigged like Ralph Reed’s…DAC, Jr. had better go check his disclosures for that type of rigging too) in case a gay looks at him “funny”…

First time poster here. LOL! Like the snark. I’m glad there’s someone else who is interested in keeping Ga from becoming a theocracy. You could probably fit the anti-theocrats in a phone booth here in GA.

Haha…Crotts probably lost it last night.

–Sean Hannity is an idiot. Nice post altogether. Each point is so true that it’s kind of scary.

Hey Jace, so “Sean Hannity is an idiot.” That must be why he is the #2 talk radio host in America. What kind of idiot is Rush at #1? Hey, are the 20 million listeners moonbats or something? Or the 2 listeners to AirAmerica?
And, Caroline, it is not about “Ga becoming a theocracy.” The issue I see is a ballot issue to change the state constitution that was passed by a majority of statewide voters. I would say the numbers are lopsided. Funny to me that a voter-approved change to the constitution is deemed to violate said constitution. I am waiting for the other shoe to drop.

HCCitizen,
Having a popular TV/radio show doesn’t make you more or less of an idiot. Jerry Springer was popular there for a while…
What if I told you that I also watch Hannity & Colmes? What if I told you that I listen to Sean on the radio in the morning? The point is, just because I think he’s an overall idiot doesn’t mean I don’t agree with some of his positions on issues. For instance, Fair Tax–Awesome!
Please don’t put words in my mouth. I never said anything regarding the moon-battyness of his listeners/viewers.
And AirAmerica is pathetic.

Well, HCCitizen, if this amendment to the constitution was so damn important then why didn’t the Gov. and his minions write it correctly. They knew they wrote it wrong when they put it out there. It’s kind of like the Senate passing a constitutional amendment and not letting the states approve it.
The reason they did it the way they did it was so that the state wouldn’t have to possibly accept civil unions, imo.
Screechy, whiny Sean is for the truly hardcore.

For those that do not know… Judge Constance Russell (of the Fulton County Superior Court) is a lesbian. This fact is well known in Atlanta legal circles and can be (and has been) confirmed by lawyers and judges. Yet… no one in the media seems to have stumbled on this detail.
