President’s Day Dinner with George “Dubai” Bush

by Bill Simon

Rumors have it that at tonight’s Georgia Republican Party President’s Day dinner, President Bush did make a reference to the 2006 Lt. Governor’s race in Georgia.

He is reported to have said “Two great candidates running for the lieutenant governor are with us — Casey Cagle and Ralph Reed and I appreciate them both being here tonight.”

Betcha Ralphie will make sure to only word his press release so that it states his name only. Who wants to bet? Huh? Huh? Who wants to bet against me?

Oh…one other thing. Everyone we’ve spoken to after the event has denied that Jack Abramoff was sitting at their table. But, since we didn’t talk to any of Reed’s folks, and there was this suspicious-looking guy there that wouldn’t take-off his hat during the dinner, it could have been Casino Jack himself there, reconnecting with his pals George and Ralphie…

  1. Charley Levinson Says:

If true, then Casino Jack must be holding somebody by the shorthairs. He has information that could be ruinous to certain people, and the only way those people can avoid ruin is to continue to grant him access. Who cares about giving a convicted felon access to the President? If everyone knew what Abramoff knew, our President would BE a convicted felon.

I don’t think the President would endorse anyone at this point, but it is a slap in the face to Ralph, given all the support Ralph has given the President. If I was Casey, I’d be very happy.

Today's Deep Thought

The whole town laughed at my great-grandfather, just because he worked hard and saved his money. True, working at the hardware store didn't pay much, but he felt it was better than what everybody else did, which was go up to the volcano and collect the gold nuggets it shot out everyday. It turned out he was right. After forty years, the volcano petered out. Everybody left town and the hardware store went broke. Finally he decided to collect gold nuggets too, but there weren't many left by then. Plus, he broke his leg and the doctor's bills were real high.
