When Rick told me he was having trouble with his wife, I had to laugh. Not because of what he said, but because of a joke I thought of. I told him the joke, but he didn't laugh very much. Some friend he is.

Have you seen the new ad? It continues the “sonny do” theme. Do people in GA like cheesy ads or something?
September 24th, 2006 at 1:33 pm
We’ll see come November, I guess…
I’m waiting to see any good attack ads from either side. That’s when people start paying real attention.
September 28th, 2006 at 12:25 pm
The people of Ga do not particularly
like cheesy ads, but the politicians LOVE them. And, they love to “act” in them too.
September 29th, 2006 at 8:38 am
True, Bonnie, but, will the voters turn Sonny out of office due to cheesy ads?
October 3rd, 2006 at 1:08 pm
to get you voted out.

Just like everything in Georgia, the Peachcare for Kids program is seriously in need of repair. I have a soon to be two year old who was refused coverage even though my oldest children were covered. She has asthma and needs medicine extremely bad. She had to go without during one of the worst pollen seasons in Atlanta. Also, they told me to get Medicaid, which also refused due to a horrible case worker. So I had to keep reapplying and finally got it.
To me, it did not make sense to go somewhere and run up a tab, as suggested by an idiot. Basically, “free” healthcare is a thing of the past; so most people will be sick and die, in reality.
Is it a game or are most things in Georgia still a part of the “old backwards south.”
Help all the citizens.

Sonny,
Look at Fl, The state fixes the glass on your car if it gets hit on the state road for free!!!!
My glass has been changed two times, and FL does not have the valorm tax on cars. Which is not right!!!!! ( I think this tax is for the road–Pay for are glass!!!)The state here told me if you have money to have a nice car you can pay the high tax Valorm tax..NOT RIGHT So what good is the tax. Fl does it right. Sonny, to you—What state have this Tax?????? Kathy

HE helps those who help themselves.
Sell your computer if you are running low on money.
Take a lesser job if you are out of work.
The state is fixing glass? That is just crazy and wasteful taxation and government spending.
Why do you expect free anything? The pioneers who came to this country struck out on their own knowing they had no choice but to succeed in order to live. Why should you expect anything more?
Sorry, but I’m a capitalist. The government is here to provide protection from foreign enemies and regulate interstate commerce. It isn’t here to fix your broken glass or provide health care to anyone.
If people wish to give their money to the government for these items, fantastic, but please don’t force those who would rather create jobs and a hand up by growing small businesses to hand over money to the most inefficient organization known – our government.

I’ve read a few more messages here.
Who will pay for everything you think you are entitled to have provided? The government is funded by taxation.
Are you socialists?

When the State of GA is at the bottom of all lists where children, the elderly and disabled are concerned, there is something badly wrong with all of the programs in this state. Yes, God helps those who help themselves.
But who helps those who cannot help themselves?
Not the State of GA, that is for sure.
Maybe Sonny could put that on his to do list, then his wife wouldn’t have to say: “what a shame.”

If you will recall, one of the first things Sonny did when he got in office was to stop the Northern Arc. You remember, that northern loop that would take traffic off 285. Well our frearless leader stopped the project (He probably didn’t have any property in the path) When you are sitting on the northern perimeter of 285 and can’t go anywhere, just say THANKS Sonny! He obiviously doesn’t have to drive it! My Sonny do-list is to get rid of Sonny!

I am disgusted. What are you teaching our children? The excerpts from your debate at the fair were appalling.
I work 50 hour weeks investigating child abuse and you think you are going to have more foster homes than there are children to fill them. Come on Sonny get real.
We live pay check to pay check just trying to get our children through college. Look out for those who are struggling. Give us something to believe in. Stop using air time downgrading the other opponent.THIS IS NOT THE EXAMPLE WE WANT OUR CHILDREN TO FOLLOW. Put this on your Sonny Do List.

When you go to the polls to vote this time, don’t forget what Sonny promised last time. He would put an amendment on the ballot that would allow voters
to choose which state flag they wanted.
He then selected the flag he wanted and the people of GA were once again disenfranchised by their elected official. Take anything he promises
with a salt lick.

Today I went to apply for public assistance – In a room of 100 people – most spoke other languages – did I get any assistance – NO – I spoke ENGLISH and was born here in the USA!!!!

Is there anything on your Sonny do list to help Georgia’s tax payers from relief from paying taxes while drug dealers and illegal immagrants don’t pay taxes on the money they make.
October 18th, 2006 at 11:27 pm
Carol,
The reason there is no assistance money for you relates directly back to the last census that was taken, (you know the one most illegals wouldn’t fill out because they didn’t want the Gov’t. to know they were here). Then when the monies were allocated to each state by given statistics alloting X amount of dollars for the elderly, disabled, students etc. Well now it is being split up to allow for all of the illegals. Maybe when all of the illegals are suppose to be out of the state by 2007, you can get some help
from GA. I thought it was a good thing “Sonny did” til I found out it would not go into effect until the year 2007.
October 19th, 2006 at 12:35 pm
Governor please enforce our speed laws,it would be feather in your cap and a boom to our economy. This is urgent.
October 19th, 2006 at 12:46 pm
How about fixing Georgia’s insane child support laws!
October 19th, 2006 at 2:31 pm
What Sonny should DO is get rid of all the nickel and dime taxes that we have in this state. Taxes every time you register your car. Taxes if you buy a car from a dealer out of state. State income taxes, property tax, etc. and we have horrible roads, horrible traffic, horrible schools, etc. WHERE IS THE MONEY GOING? SInce it’s not doing any good, just give it back!

Peachcare could be saved by charging a ten dollar per month co pay per child.I can pay $30.00 per month a darn lot easier than Ican pay $130.00 per week, which is what the no paying Blue Cross Blue Shield will cost me for three children.270,000 times 10=2.7million.For our kids sake, just do it Sonny!!!!!!!!!
