While there will be massive gnashing of teeth on the Dem side, perhaps they should stop and think as to why they lose people to the other side.

No nashing here. Expect more of this in the south because the GOP is now a regional party-the Southern Fundamentalist Party. The rest of the country has the opposite happening-exodus from the GOP.
And yeah, we can win when we run fundies. But is that what we really want to do? I’m into defeating fundamentalism not enabling it.

Dubose Porter was quoted in the AJC saying “We’re well rid of him.” The same article described Jacobs’ voting record as largely Republican, anyway.
