New York Post: Al Quaeda Told UAE in 2002 “We have infiltrated your government”

by Bill Simon

Wow! It’s amazing what a few days brings in the form of red flags on this whole American ports deal.

The New York Post
(NOT the “New York Times”, but the CONSERVATIVE newspaper owned by Rupert Murdoch of FOX News) has an article that describes a document recently released by the U.S. military. The document was one of a batch captured from Al-Quaeda in the war on terror and recently declassified by the Center for Combating Terrorism at West Point.

The document from 2002 was a letter to the UAE and contained the following:

“You are well aware that we have infiltrated your security, censorship and monetary agencies, along with other agencies that should not be mentioned…

“Therefore, we warn of the continuation of practicing…policies which do not serve your interest and will only cost you many problems that will place you in an embarrassing state before your citizens…

“Your homeland is exposed to us. There are many vital interests that will hurt you if we decided to harm them…

    Bill,

You left this out of your post:

“If it’s real, the document shows that the UAE really is trying to cooperate with the U.S. in the war on terrorism, because they were being threatened by al Qaeda,” said terrorism expert Lorenzo Vidino.

  2. Bill Simon Says:

And, you left this part out as well, BART of what Lorenzo Vidino said:

“But it also reveals that even though they [the UAE] are our friends, al Qaeda seems to have people on the inside in the UAE, just as it has in Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Qatar and Kuwait.”

Cogito, ergo sum. You, however, don’t think, and just blather on in typical stick-your-nose-up-the-ass of either Bush or Tom Price.

  3. bb Says:

    Bill,

Thanks for proving my point…semantics and context matter.

Considering the last paragraph you just posted, should America cut off all ties with its Middle East allies because Al Qaeda purportedly sent a letter threatening infiltration?

Speaking of a nose up the ass, how much did Konop pay you to get brown on yours? Never mind, already found it on the disclosure report.

    Bart

  4. Bill Simon Says:

    Bart,

Several things: I am voting against Tom Price, period. If John Konop does not beat him in the primary, I will be voting against him in the General. I don’t like Mr. Price as my “representative” because he doesn’t represent me. He represents his own interests before any constituent’s.

Regarding “cutting off ties with our Middle-East allies”, no. HOWEVER, we should not allow Middle-Eastern allies any closer to our operations as a sovereign country than their oil fields touching our oil tankers, and our soldiers on their soil.

Bart, I’m beginning to think you’ve been bought off by Al-Quaida the way you keep arguing this matter. Are you the next “American Taliban?”

  5. bb Says:

    Bill,

You nailed it, me, President Bush, Bill O’Reilly, John McCain and Jimmy Carter are setting up an American Taliban Party. LMAO.

BTW, speaking of soil, when are you going to start the thread on HB1443 — http://www.legis.state.ga.us/legis/2005_06/sum/hb1443.htm proclaiming red clay as the official dirt of Georgia? Thanks Bobby Franklin, can always count on you.

    Bart

  6. Bill Simon Says:

Ahhh…leave Bobby alone. He turned around pretty admirably several years ago and got this new and improved state flag designed and passed.

Today's Deep Thought

One afternoon, when I was about ten, I decided to walk over to the 'wrong side of the tracks.' At first I was a little scared. But then I noticed that the yards were nice, and so were the houses. In fact, most of the houses were better than those on our side of the tracks. A lot better.
