Governor Perdue To GOP Grassroots: “Green Is The Only Color We Care About”

politicalvine, February 27th, 2006

Rumors have it that in an act of what can best be described as supreme arrogance, the Georgia State Republican Party proudly invites anyone who wishes to attend their annual “President’s Day” dinner on March 9 to attend…as long as they can pony-up a $1000 minimum-priced ticket.

The special headliner? President George W. Bush.

PV’s Analysis:
As grandiose as it may sound to have the President appear for the annual Republican fundraiser, a $1000-minimum ticket effectively tells the grassroots to go take a hike if they wish to participate in the annual event.

Bill Simon, February 27th, 2006

CIA Says: “Dubai officials, Osama cozy before 9/11”

Bill Simon, February 27th, 2006

In yesterday’s edition of Newsday, there is an interesting little article regarding the CIA’s knowledge of a solid link between Osama bin Laden and officials of Dubai before 9/11.

Now, to those of you who think anyone against this impending deal are nothing but a bunch of “xenophobic racists,” this information won’t penetrate your ignorant skulls.

See, Osama Bin Laden was a KNOWN terrorist to this country before 9/11. UAE knew about that and STILL consorted with the little sh**.

So, while UAE appears to have gone out of their way to make nicey-nice with the USA since 9/11, I’m not much into buying their “good graces” when their princes were off cavorting with Osama on hunting trips.

Those who ignore the past are doomed to repeat it. President Dubious Bush has done a whole lot of fact-ignoring over the past 3 years. Too much for me to trust HIS judgement, that’s for damn sure.

CIA World Factbook on United Arab Emirates

politicalvine, February 26th, 2006

Hey, here’s some good news for allowing UAE to manage our ports. This is what our CIA feel about them:

“[T]he UAE is a drug transshipment point for traffickers given its proximity to Southwest Asian drug producing countries; the UAE’s position as a major financial center makes it vulnerable to money laundering; anti-money-laundering controls improving.

Insider Advantage On The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly in the Georgia Legislature

politicalvine, February 26th, 2006

From last Friday’s In Our Opinion column on BillShipp.com:

    The Good:

House Speaker Pro Tem Mark Burkhalter, R-Alpharetta, is all over the board saving the day for every conceivable cause…

    The Bad:

What is State Sen. Vincent Fort, D-Atlanta, thinking of with his proposed moratorium on executions…?

      The Ugly:

House member Calvin Hill, R-Woodstock, for his declaration of war against FDR for sins of the flesh…we can’t wait for Hill to start throwing out MLK, Jr. Day for the same reasoning…

New York Post: Al Quaeda Told UAE in 2002 “We have infiltrated your government”

Bill Simon, February 25th, 2006

Wow! It’s amazing what a few days brings in the form of red flags on this whole American ports deal.

The New York Post
(NOT the “New York Times”, but the CONSERVATIVE newspaper owned by Rupert Murdoch of FOX News) has an article that describes a document recently released by the U.S. military. The document was one of a batch captured from Al-Quaeda in the war on terror and recently declassified by the Center for Combating Terrorism at West Point.

The document from 2002 was a letter to the UAE and contained the following:

“You are well aware that we have infiltrated your security, censorship and monetary agencies, along with other agencies that should not be mentioned…

“Therefore, we warn of the continuation of practicing…policies which do not serve your interest and will only cost you many problems that will place you in an embarrassing state before your citizens…

“Your homeland is exposed to us. There are many vital interests that will hurt you if we decided to harm them…

Follow The UAE Ports Money Right To FOB (Friends/Family of Bush)…

Bill Simon, February 24th, 2006

I said it in an earlier post that there was something mighty fishy about Bush’s stance on threatening the veto on a possible bill that might block the takeover of American ports by the UAE. There was way too much passion in his reaction.

That, combined with the fact that he didn’t even know about the impending deal until it hit the newspapers, tells me, again, that something’s up.

And, you know what? Turns out I was right to be suspicious. Why? Because there is a money trail relationship between the Bush family and the United Arab Emirates.

Here’s the story, as excerpted from the transcript of the Lou Dobbs Show earlier this week:

Fool Me Once, Shame on You…Fool Me Twice, Call Me A Racist?

Bill Simon, February 22nd, 2006

There are three kinds of politicians I don’t like:

1) Those who are stupid.
2) Those who think I’m stupid.
3) Those who are stupid and think I’m just as stupid to fall for their bullsh**.

This is the case this country is faced with now from President George W. Bush with this recent issue of the managment of American ports being taken over by a company owned by the United Arab Emirates. I now believe he is not only stupid, but he actually thinks everyone else is just as stupid as he is.

Bush’s reaction to the members of Congress who questioned the deal (“If you pass that legislation to block this deal, I’ll veto it!”) has all the signs of someone more intimately involved in the outcome of this matter than what appears on the surface.

Special Memo to the Senate Panel Looking at Abramoff, Reed, and Norquist

Bill Simon, February 22nd, 2006

I previously reported about the article in the Kansas City Star regarding a likely new investigation into Jack Abramoff using non-profit 501(c)(3) organizations to launder money from Indian casinos to people like [tag]Ralph Reed[tag].

In that Star article (see post below), Ralph is quoted as denying he ever knew the true source of the funds that were being laundered through Grover Norquist’s Americans for Tax Reform organization to the Alabama Christian Coalition, and then to Ralph’s own pocket.

There are some obvious questions that should be asked by the panel. One would be “How/Why did this laundering operation have to take place if Ralph thought the money was all ‘legit?”

More Bad News For Ralph Reed: The Senate May Open Another Investigation

Bill Simon, February 22nd, 2006

The Kansas City Star is reporting that a new senate panel is looking into the possibility that Jack Abramoff, through his business associations with Grover Norquist and Ralph Reed, helped take advantage of non-profits by using them to launder money from his Indian casino clients to recipients like Ralph Reed.

Today's Deep Thought

Even though I was their captive, the Indians allowed me quite a bit of freedom. I could walk about freely, make my own meals, and even hurl large rocks at their heads. It was only later that I discovered they were not Indians at all, but dirty clothes hampers.
